Consumers that have bought products should not eat them and instead return them to the point of purchase for a full refund

Moma Foods is recalling various porridge pots and sachet products because of possible mice contamination at its manufacturing site.

The British porridge and oat drink brand issued a product recall warning for seven versions of its pots and two of its sachets.

Pots in Almond Butter & Salted Caramel, Apple, Cinnamon & Brown Sugar, Banana & Peanut Butter Protein, Blueberry & Vanilla, Cranberry & Raisin, Golden Syrup and Plain No-Added Sugar have been recalled, alongside sachets in Almond Butter & Salted Caramel and Apple, Cinnamon & Brown Sugar.

The affected products “may contain mouse contamination making them unsafe to eat”, the Food Standards Agency said.

Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores selling affected products and on their website.

The notices would explain to customers why the products were being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products, the FSA explained.

Consumers that had bought the products should not eat them and instead return them to the point of purchase for a full refund, it added.

A spokeswoman for Moma said: “Following one consumer report of a potential contamination issue with a Moma porridge product, we immediately launched an investigation with the third-party facility where the product is manufactured. The third-party manufacturer notified us on 20 March that a mouse contamination event did occur in autumn 2025.

“We are working with the Food Standards Agency (FSA) to ensure the affected batches are removed from sale and that all required health protocols are followed. While we have received only one consumer report to date, as a precautionary measure we are recalling all batches produced during the relevant timeframe.

“This recall only affects a limited number of products; all of our other ranges, including Moma Oat Drinks, are not impacted by this issue and are safe to consume.

“We advise consumers who have purchased the specific affected products not to consume them and to follow the recall instructions to receive a full refund.”

Moma Foods was started in a railway arch in Deptford, south-east London in 2006 and sold to AG Barr in late 2022 for £3.4m.
