Mondelez has unveiled Sour Patch Kids Monster Heads as part of its 2026 Halloween lineup.
The limited-edition NPD (rsp: £1.25/105g) consists of monster-head shaped jelly pieces with dual-flavour combinations of watermelon, raspberry and orange.
Alongside the limited-edition drop, Sour Patch Kids Watermelon & Strawberry Treatsize (rsp: £3/350g) will return this year after ranking as the leading Halloween NPD in 2025, said Mondelez, citing NIQ data [6 w/e 1 November 2025].
Maynards Bassetts’ Spooky Gums (rsp: £1/110g) will also return, as well as Oreo Spooky (rsp: £1.50/154g), which features Halloween-inspired cookie embossing and orange-coloured cream.
Cadbury’s Treatsize Sharing Selection (rsp: £4.75/223g), Dairy Milk Freddo & Friends Sharing Pack (rsp: £4.75/191g), and Fudge Treatsize Pack (rsp: £4.75/202g) will also hit shelves this Halloween. The Treatsize Sharing Selection contains Cadbury Buttons, Crunchie, Twirl, Fudge and Freddo.
Seasonal celebrations remained a key driver of confectionery sales, said Mondelez. The category was worth more than £65.1m during the six-week Halloween period in 2025 [NIQ 52 w/e 17 May 2025].
This presented a “great opportunity for retailers to offer a strong mix of treatsize, sharing and limited-edition products to meet shopper demand”, the supplier added.
“Halloween is a pivotal sales opportunity for the confectionery market, and consumers are looking for trusted brands in formats that are fun and easy to share, while embracing the spooky season,” said Susan Nash, trade communications manager at Mondelez International.
