Bakery ingredients and products manufacturer Arkady Craigmillar has promoted Steve Moon to managing director. He replaces Bill Thurston.
Moon joined Arkady Craigmillar in 1991 as a management trainee.
He moved to Rotterdam in 1996 to work as European supply chain commercial manager, culinary and beverages, for Unilever.
Moon then returned to Arkady Craigmillar in 2000 as finance director, a post he will continue to hold. Thurston remains a group company director, with responsibilities for the international activities of parent company CSM. Thurston said: "As finance director and deputy md for the past 12 months, Steve has been central to Arkady Craigmillar's exceptional recent performance."
"He has more than a decade of valuable experience in the bakery supplies market, acquired through an international career with Unilever and CSM."
Thurston added that Moon's experience would make him instrumental in continuing the growth of the UK business.
