GroceryAid has unveiled the first two panellists set to speak at its headline diversity and inclusion conference D&I in Grocery Live.
Morrisons’ group online director Charlotte Exell will appear alongside Coca-Cola Europacific Partners vice president and general manager An Vermeulen, on 9 October, at London’s Intercontinental Hotel.
Now in its seventh year, D&I in Grocery brings together 1,300 senior leaders from across the food and drink sector. This year’s theme is ‘Evolve to Thrive: Make Inclusion Your Competitive Advantage’.
Journalist Steph McGovern will return as compere and host, while historian David Olusoga has been confirmed as the headline speaker. He will challenge grocery leaders to learn from the lessons of the past during his keynote speech.
During her more than 10 years with Morrisons, Exell has held a number of regional management and operational roles. She was promoted to the newly minted roll of online director in February 2025 and oversees the Bradford supermarket’s entire online offer.
She “will offer a unique perspective on how inclusive thinking can unlock greater collaboration, innovation and performance across teams, channels and customer experiences”, GroceryAid said.
Belgian-born Vermeulen, meanwhile, has played a critical role in shaping CCEP’s inclusion strategy during her 16 years with the drinks giant. She will outline how “businesses can embed D&I into culture, leadership” and achieve long-term commercial advantage.
Anyone wishing to attend this year’s event can reserve their spot online.
