Shoppers need to spend £300 with Morrisons in order to earn a £22 discount on Spiegelau wine glasses

Morrisons has revived its retro loyalty stamps promotion, in the latest expansion of the More Card.

Under the promotion, which launched this week, members can earn loyalty stamps for every £10 they spend with Morrisons, with the chance to earn discounts on Spiegelau crystal wine glasses.

Once they have collected 30 stamps – which would require a spend of £300 – they can unlock a £22.01p discount on the glasses, which usually cost £25 for a pair. They will still have to pay £2.99.

It follows a similar promotion launched in partnership with Pyrex last year, as Morrisons aims to build on the success of its ‘when it’s gone it’s gone’ promotions, which were introduced by CEO Rami Baitiéh in 2024.

Morrisons More Card currently sits across 76% of transactions, and Baitiéh has set the target of reaching above 80% in the near future following “record redemption” during the first quarter of the year.

Spiegelau glasses typically cost £25, however More Card holders will only pay £2.99 if they have collected enough stamps

The work – which is being overseen by Morrisons customer director Matt McLellan – has focused on simplifying the rewards available, as well as making both the More Card app and the physical card more appealing to shoppers, around 30% of whom are classed as older shoppers.

Over the past year, Morrisons has stripped back the number of More Card offers available across the shop floor. It has instead switched its strategy to provide more general promotions across the shop, with additional perks for More Card holders, such as 20% off its fish and steak counters on Fridays and Saturdays.

It has also been improving the levels of personalisation, introducing features like ‘My Offers’ which gives shoppers money-off coupons, as well as tailored points “boosters” on products they buy the most.

It’s also been ramping up the distribution of physical coupons as a way of appealing to loyalty holders who prefer to use a physical More Card, rather than the app.

“We’re always looking for ways to reward our loyal customers, and our More Card stamp campaigns help us do just that,” said Gareth Lloyd, director of loyalty at Morrisons.

“The premium range of Spiegelau glassware makes for an impressive addition to any kitchen and is available to our customers at an amazing discount.”

The offer is running in store and online until 21 June.
