Nomad Foods has named a new chief marketing officer.
The frozen food giant has appointed Justin Billingsley to the post vacated by Steve Challouma in December with immediate effect. He will report directly to Nomad Foods CEO Dominic Brisby.
The multinational said the appointment of the former Publicis Groupe CMO would strengthen its executive team and reinforce the company’s focus on sustainable growth across its European brands and markets.
Billingsley has held a range of brand leadership and marketing services roles in a career spanning over three decades, working with the likes of Coca-Cola, Unilver and Saatchi & Saatchi.
His focus at Nomad Foods will be on “driving stronger commercial outcomes and long-term brand equity”, the business said.
“Justin’s deep marketing expertise and brand leadership capabilities will be instrumental as we continue to build a more powerful, unified set of brands across Europe,” Brisby said. “His experience will be critical in accelerating our growth agenda and strengthening our connection with consumers across all markets.”
He added: “I am absolutely delighted to welcome him to Nomad Foods.”
The announcement follows a series of new appointments for the company. Jon Fernandez de Barrena was appointed president of Nomad Foods’ southern Europe operation in April, and Simon Ball was appointed president UK & Ireland in March.
