Sylva Orchard combines apple, plum and cherry woods with regenerative malt barley

Non-alcoholic drinks brand Sylva has landed its first grocery retail listing with Ocado.

The brand’s third release, Sylva Orchard, has this month launched with the online grocer (rsp: £40/70cl). The listing marks the brand’s move from specialist and luxury retail into the grocery channel.

Founded by Seedlip creator Ben Branson, Sylva launched in December 2024 and produces sub-0.5% abv ‘spirits’ designed to replicate the flavours of aged whisky, cognac and rum.

The brand’s distillery and maturation lab operates as part of Pollen Projects, a venture studio launched by Branson in 2023.

Sylva Orchard is produced at Pollen Project’s Colne Valley distillery, using a unique distillation and maturation process invented by Branson.

The allergen-free tipple combines apple, plum and cherry woods with regenerative malt barley. It is designed to be served neat over ice.

Sylva’s launch comes amid growing momentum behind alcohol-free products on Ocado.

The online grocer reported a 29% increase in sales of low & no products last January, and has recently expanded its range with new non-alcoholic brands such as Naked Life.

Shauna Clark Fitzpatrick, low & no buyer at Ocado Retail, said: “As demand continues to grow for sophisticated low & no options to enjoy at home, Sylva Orchard is a natural addition to our range and a great example of how innovative this category has become”.

Branson added: “Ocado was our first grocery retailer for Seedlip in 2017 and so I am delighted they are also our first grocery partner for Sylva.

“Ocado has built a reputation for championing quality, innovation and choice with a discerning audience seeking depth and craft, which makes it the perfect fit for Sylva’s aged non-alcoholic spirits.”

Sylva’s wider range of ‘spirits’ are stocked with luxury retailers including Selfridges and Berry Bros & Rudd.
