Old El Paso has extended its range of fajita seasoning mixes to offer “even more choice” to shoppers.

Smoky BBQ Extra Mild 35g and Fiery Chili & Tomato Hot 25g (rsp: £1.25 each) have rolled into major retailers.

Old El Paso was “continually expanding its range to keep pace with evolving shopper preferences” and the new seasoning mixes would help “busy families elevate home-cooked meals with minimal effort”, it said.

“By expanding our spice mix range, we’re catering to even more tastes and households,” said General Mills UK head of meals Aditi Hilgers.

“These new launches allow families to enjoy Mexican meals their way, without compromise – from Extra Mild to Fiery Hot, it’s all about creating a flavour experience that works for everyone,” Hilgers added.

The launch will be backed by a £4m brand investment.

Old El Paso is Britain’s top-selling meal kit brand and has an overall retail sales value of £146.3m, according to NIQ data [52 w/e 31 December 2024].

It launched Street Vibes, a range inspired by street food trends, targeting pre-family shoppers, last March.

The launch was supported by its ‘Turn it Up’ campaign – including a TV advert, video on demand, out of home, social media and in-store activity – from September.
