Pack’d is launching organic frozen pomegranate seeds on Ocado.
The pack of frozen pomegranate seeds (rsp: £4.60) launch with the online retailer on 27 January.
Made from 100% organic pomegranate and frozen at peak ripeness to preserve flavour and nutrients, the seeds are high in vitamin C.
The brand said the launch had been designed to meet the growing demand for nutritious, versatile ingredients.
It added that the frozen packs would offer “ultimate convenience” and would allow consumers to incorporate pomegranate seeds into smoothies, breakfast bowls, salads, desserts and more.
“With the launch of our organic frozen pomegranate, we’re leaning into the increased interest in this fruit, making it easier than ever for consumers to enjoy this nutritious ingredient without the prep, while still maintaining the quality, taste and nutritional benefits you’d expect from fresh fruit,” said Katy Hamblin, director of marketing at Pack’d.
“This product is often sold in the salad aisle with a relatively short shelf life, but our frozen format offers a more convenient and longer-lasting alternative.”
