Pimentae Grapefruit Margarita

Pimentae hopes to raise £150k from the crowd to top up a wider funding round of £850k

Canned cocktail challenger Pimentae has gone to the crowd to top up an £850k raise from angel investors and existing funders.

Aiming to raise a further £150k from investors on Crowdcube, the round will continue until 25 August or its target is reached.

The fresh funding goal is on top of a £1.5m raise completed earlier in the year.

“We’re now at a really exciting point where the foundations are in place and the opportunity is much bigger,” said Alice Parmiter, co-founder of Pimentae.

Pimentae plans to use the cash injection to expand its sales team across grocery and wholesale, accelerate distribution and support major grocery launches.

Founded in 2021 by Parmiter and Wynter Karo, the brand’s RTD tequila cocktails were the UK’s top-selling canned Margarita in UK grocery in the second half of 2025, according to Circana data [North Star powered by Circana 26 w/e 1 November 2025].

The brand won its first listing with Sainsbury’s in March 2026, with products already on-shelf in Waitrose, Co-op, Ocado and Tesco Ireland.

Two new grocery announcements are expected in the next six months, according to a spokeswoman for the brand, alongside multi-group pub listings.

“We didn’t set out to build another RTD brand. From day one, we wanted Pimentae to make agave cocktails more exciting and accessible, while retaining the quality and character you’d expect from a great bar,” said Karo.

“We’ve got some big retail and hospitality opportunities ahead and crowdfunding gives our customers and supporters the chance to be part of that next chapter with us.”
