Grampian Country Food Group has appointed Eddie Power as group MD.
Power, who takes up his position immediately, replaces David Salkeld who left Grampian in September last year after two years in the role.
Prior to his departure Salkeld had steered the company through the restructuring of its operations into three distinct business units (The Grocer, September 17, p16).
Power joins Grampian from turkey producer Cranberry Foods where he was chairman.
Power will take responsibility for all areas of the business. He also becomes a member of Grampian’s main board.
Grampian said that Power had worked with the company in the past and had more than 30 years of experience working in the UK and Irish food industries.
A spokesman for Grampian added that Power’s appointment would consolidate and further drive its business agenda.
