The promotion forms part of Premier’s celebrations for reaching 5,000 stores in November

Premier is seeking to drive footfall for independent retailers through a scratchcard campaign that rewards shoppers with cash prizes and product giveaways.

Customers can receive a ‘Chance to Win’ scratchcard with every qualifying purchase, which offers the opportunity to win cash prizes – including one £5,000 jackpot – as well as product giveaways and promotional offers in partnership with Burger King. The campaign launched this month and runs until 3 February.

The promotion forms part of Premier’s celebrations for reaching 5,000 stores in November. The store, which opened in Wellingborough, represented Premier’s latest flagship format, offering “a modern retail experience” with food to go, energy-efficient chillers, customer loyalty rewards, and tailored meal deals.

Premier is marking the occasion with a dedicated ‘Premier 5,000 Roadshow’, featuring five regional events across the UK.

The roadshow will invite Premier retailers to come together at venues including Hampden Park and Leeds United Football Club, which will welcome local customers and supplier partners hosting interactive stands.

“Our 5,000-store milestone marked an incredible moment for Premier, shining a spotlight on the strength of the brand and our fantastic symbol group retailers,” said Booker retail MD Colm Johnson.

“January can be a challenging period for independent retailers, and our latest activation has been designed to bring real energy and value into stores when it matters most – with some great benefits and opportunities to support local communities as part of our 5,000 celebrations.”

Premier sales director Martyn Parkinson added: “This next wave of celebrations is all about keeping the momentum going – giving customers fun, value and reasons to visit their local store in January. A big thank you to all our retailers for helping us reach this milestone, and our supplier partners for their support in our celebrations.”
