Pret a Manger has unveiled its “biggest menu launch in years”, focused on offering a wider range of high-protein choices.
Rolling out from today (28 April), the food-to-go chain is launching new Protein Plates in Chicken & Greens (34g protein), Smoked Salmon & Egg (31g protein), and Roasted Salmon & Mango (26g protein).
Alongside this, Pret is launching a new Protein Pot for on-the-go snacking in Chicken & Edamame (25g protein). It joins the existing range, which includes a Smoked Salmon & Egg Protein Pot and an Egg & Spinach Protein Pot.
The new lineup will also feature new and improved Super Plates, including a vegan Korean BBQ Tofu option, which delivers 21g of protein and features tofu, kimchi, slaw, black rice, quinoa, and spicy Korean-style BBQ sauce.
Pret’s best-selling Chipotle Chicken Super Plate has also been upgraded and now delivers 50g of protein.
Two new salad bowls will also join the menu, including a Miso Chicken Rice Bowl (26g protein) and a Butternut & Hummus Mezze Bowl (18g protein).
For the first time, large (16oz) barista-made drinks will launch across all Pret shops nationwide. To mark the launch, the coffee chain is introducing new drinks including Iced Green Teas and Iced Green Tea Lemonades, a Seasonal Blueberry Latte (available hot or iced), and Iced Matcha Lattes with blueberry or guava flavours.
“We wanted this menu to offer more of what customers are looking for right now,” said Pret chief food and coffee officer Briony Raven. “Building on the success of our Super Plates – known for being rich in fibre and protein – we’ve introduced more protein choices, more substantial options and great-tasting food and drink made fresh.
“From new high-protein recipes to larger barista-made drinks, this is our biggest menu update in years, with something for every part of the day.”
