Pret a Manger has appointed Lawrence Heyes as UK operations director, welcoming him back to the business after more than a decade.
Announcing his appointment on LinkedIn, Heyes said: “As I arrived at 75B Victoria this morning, the first day excitement was real as I started my new gig as operations director for Pret a Manger UK.
“I’m excited to work alongside our incredible shop teams and head office colleagues, to reconnect with some brilliant former colleagues still at Pret, and to meet many new people as we work together to achieve great things.”
Heyes previously worked for the food-to-go chain between 2010 and 2012, initially as operations manager before being promoted to head of operations development for the UK and France.
Speaking of his earlier time with the buisiness, he added: ”Pret is a business I loved working for, and one that taught me so much during my formative career years. Coming back now truly feels like coming home.”
Prior to beginning his new role at Pret, Heyes was operations director at KFC UK & Ireland. He previously held senior customer success and experience roles at Amazon and Aldi UK.
Speaking of Heyes’ appointment, a Pret a Manger spokesperson said: “We’re delighted to welcome Lawrence Heyes back to team Pret as operations director. It’s great to have him with us again as we move into our next phase of growth.”
It marks the latest in a string of appointments at the coffee chain. In September, Pret hired Matthew Bresnahan as chief marketing officer, and in December former Kraft Heinz area VP Ross Warnes was named UK & Ireland president.
