Natural energy drink Purdey’s has revamped its flavour line-up but appears to be sidelining its classic glass bottles.
It has introduced Apple & Grape, Berry & Dragon Fruit, and Orange & Mango. They replace a previous Purdey’s lineup that included flavours such as Replenish (raspberry & rose), Refocus (dark fruits) and Rejuvenate (grape & apple).
The new flavours have launched on TikTok Shop and will land across major retailers including Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Tesco, Asda, Ocado, Morrisons and Amazon from later this month.
They will be available in new formats including 4x250ml slimline can multipacks (rsp: £4.75) and 330ml ‘sleek’ cans (rsp: £1.95).
The new cans featured “a fresh new look that showcases the Purdey’s promise of providing energy”, said Purdey’s owner Carlsberg Britvic.
Purdey’s was first made available in cans in 2017, but has – until now – mostly remained sold in glass bottles with a silver or black plastic labels.
While the new cans appear front and centre of the relaunch for the brand, Apple & Grape and Berry & Dragon Fruit will remain sold in 330ml bottles in Sainsbury’s and Waitrose stores, respectively.
Each new Purdey’s flavour contains at least 60mg of caffeine from natural ingredients including guarana, and Chinese ginseng, alongside vitamins B1, B3, B6, B12 and C, according to the brand.
Apple & Grape was “a vibrant and fruity fusion of crisp apple and fresh grape juices”, while Orange & Mango offered “a revitalising combination of citrusy orange and tropical mango juices”.
Rounding out the range, Berry & Dragon Fruit was “a radiant fusion of zingy blackberries and exotic dragon fruit”.
