Red Bull Spring Edition

Red Bull said its own testing showed over 75% of shoppers found a cherry-flavoured energy drink appealing

Red Bull has launched a cherry‑flavoured variant under a new Spring Edition sub-range.

Called Spring Edition Cherry Sakura, the NPD takes inspiration from the “Japanese cherry blossom that is synonymous with the season”. It offered “floral and fruity” notes, according to the supplier.

The full sugar variant is available now in plain 250ml (rsp: £1.80) and £1.75 PMP cans, plain 355ml cans, plain 473ml and £2.85 PMP cans, as well as 4x250ml multipacks.

It marks the first time Red Bull has introduced price-marked cans for its 473ml format. The move was designed to provide “loyal shoppers with the opportunity to trade up”, said Red Bull.

In its own consumer testing, over 75% of shoppers said a cherry-flavoured energy drink was “appealing”, it added.

Spring Editions joins a seasonal launch calendar for Red Bull that already includes launches in Summer and Winter. Its latest Winter Edition, Fuji Apple & Ginger, hit stores in September.

Red Bull remains the number one player in energy drinks in the UK, with value sales up 16.2% to £890.3m [NIQ 52 w/e 6 September 2025].
