Halewood International has put the red into its Red Square spirits premix brand with the addition of a cranberry variant. The company has been making the most of the growth in this sector, in which it has this range and the Caribbean Twist drinks. The Red Square collection now comprises two Energising styles, one with vodka, the other with vodka and tequila, and two Ice styles, lemon and cranberry. The two Energising versions are due for a pack change to comply with the latest addition to the Portman code of practice. It has ruled there should be no suggestion on such alcoholic drinks that they enhance performance or mental capabilities. It gave the companies involved until the beginning of July to make the changes. Halewood said current production of these drinks has taken this into account. Marketing director Bob Rishworth said: "Customers now recognise that Red Square equals vodka and we wanted to extend this theme. We were the first to add tequila to the mix and now we will be the first to add cranberry. "We feel we have identified what our target market wants; cranberry is set to be the next fashionable mixer." All the styles are available in 275ml bottles retailing at £1.29 and the company has added 70cl versions of the lemon and cranberry lines specifically for the off-trade. These will retail at £2.99. The range is supported by advertising, sponsorship and PR. Halewood is changing the ad campaign for the brand and has appointed Cheetam Bell in Manchester to devise it. The agency already produces the "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" Lambrini ads for Halewood. {{DRINKS }}
