Family-owned and operated business Robinson Wholesale has joined buying group Sterling Supergroup.

Based in Cheshire, Robinson Wholesale provides food solutions to a range of sectors, including education, healthcare, leisure, and independent retailers.

The business, which has been operating in the foodservice manufacturing industry for over 30 years, has a strong presence in the north west of England and the capability to serve customers nationwide.

It has a dedicated manufacturing unit that crafts premium sandwich fillings, pasta sauces, and a variety of innovative food solutions.

“We’re proud to join the Sterling family, bringing our own family values into a group that shares our commitment to quality, service, and strong relationships,” said Robinson Wholesale director Danny Robinson.

Sterling Supergroup chief commercial officer Daniel Larkin added: “Robinson Wholesale LLP joins Sterling at a moment of real momentum for our group. Each new member strengthens our community with fresh insight and capability, and Robinson Wholesale is no exception.

“We’re excited to welcome them into the group and look forward to the positive impact they will bring as we continue to grow together.”

It is one of several wholesale businesses to have joined Sterling Supergroup as a member this year.

In January, Mason Foodservice joined the buying group as part of its ongoing growth plan, while Dundee-based John D Forrest became a member in February, followed by Lancashire-based chilled and ambient wholesaler Clegg’s Chilled Food Service earlier this month.
