Rude Health has launched a Hazelnut Drink with added calcium into the chilled aisle.

The brand said the launch (rsp: £2.50/1l) built on the strong momentum seen in its chilled portfolio.

It combines natural ingredients including mountain spring water and rice with Italian tonda gentile hazelnuts, which are “considered the best in the world for their aromatic sweetness”.

It contains no added sugar or sweeteners.

The brand said the result is a “smooth roasted hazelnut flavour with a subtle sweetness from the rice”.

“Rude Health is all about bringing natural-ingredient deliciousness to shoppers across the UK,” said Sam Maguire, Rude Health’s UK country lead. “With the fantastic growth we’ve seen in our chilled range it was the right time to broaden our offering with a particularly moreish new drink – Hazelnut.”

He added that the “irresistible addition to the category” addressed consumer desire for “something more luxurious and indulgent”.

It will join its expanding chilled range of Coconut, Almond, Oat and Soya with Calcium.

It launches into Sainsbury’s this month.
