Scottish co-operative chain Scotmid has promoted retail marketing manager Paula Ketterer to head of marketing.
She now oversees the marketing function across all core business areas.
Ketterer’s appointment is one of several senior management changes at the society.
John Brodie, deputy chief executive and head of finance, has taken over the role of society secretary from chief executive Colin Bird who is to spend more time on strategic and executive matters concerning the combined businesses.
In addition, Jane Murray, previously financial accountant, has been promoted to financial controller. and Keith Kelly has become merchandising manager, reporting to Ketterer.
The changes have been made following the recent growth of Scotmid.
The society recently recorded pre-tax profit up from £3.1m to £9.1m and a rise in sales from £221.9m to £227.2m in the year to January 25 (The Grocer, May 10, p11).
