Forecourt operator Sewell On The Go has switched suppliers from Londis to Co-op Wholesale.
Under a new five-year deal, Co-op Wholesale will supply Sewell On The Go’s 12-strong convenience stores, which serve over four million customers annually, across Hull and East Yorkshire.
Sewell On The Go will retain its independent fascia, while benefiting from an “enhanced range” including the introduction of Co-op’s own brand products, with a primary focus on food for now and food for later.
The new arrangement marks the end of a long-term partnership between Sewell On The Go and the Booker-owned symbol group Londis. It also demonstrated Co-op Wholesale’s strategy to expand into the forecourt space, by supporting operators with “market-leading products and convenience retail expertise”, the wholesaler said.
“We’re thrilled to be working with Sewell On The Go,” said Co-op Wholesale MD Katie Secretan. “This is a fantastic business with deep roots in its communities and a genuine commitment to quality and service.
“Our wholesale model is built to give partners like Sewell the freedom to stay true to their brand while delivering a market-leading range and operational support. We can’t wait to see what we can achieve together.”
Sewell On The Go MD Patrick Sewell said: “We’re excited to work alongside Co-op Wholesale, a partner whose values and vision align closely with our own.
“Our customers across Hull and East Yorkshire can look forward to a wider, more exciting range of products in-store, while we continue to provide the same great service, value and local focus that people know and trust.”
