Starbucks is set to launch a new Cloud Frappuccino blended range as it looks to expand its cold beverage offer.
The range looks to build on the coffee giant’s classic Frappuccino blended beverage, which has now been available for more than 30 years, by adding a cold foam topping that offers a ”smooth and silky elevated finish”.
It will launch in three flavours, including Strawberry Matcha, Brown Sugar, and Caramel Mocha.
“We saw an exciting opportunity to reimagine one of our most iconic beverages for summer with the new Cloud Frappuccino blended beverage range,” said Starbucks manager of beverage development EMEA Sam Henderson.
“Inspired by growing interest in texture-led drinks, we’ve brought cold foam to Frappuccino blended beverages to create a layered, sensory experience – reimagining familiar favourites while showcasing barista craft and innovation behind every cup.”
Alongside this, Starbucks is introducing a new range of food, such as a Chicken and Chorizo Focaccia, and a Charred Chickpea and Chimichurri Wrap. New bakery additions include a Raspberry and White Chocolate Cruffin, a Summer Bear Cake Pop, and a Caramelised Biscuit Cake Cube.
The Cloud Frappuccino blended beverage range will be available to Starbucks Rewards members from 30 April, rolling out to all customers in stores nationwide from 7 May.
It comes after the coffee chain launched Protein Cold Foam in the UK for the first time earlier this month, following “standout success” in the US.
The Protein Cold Foam provides 15g of added protein to any drink and is available in vanilla and caramel flavours.
