Starbucks is bringing Protein Cold Foam to the UK for the first time, alongside the launch of a trio of new protein beverages.
Originally created by Starbucks, Cold Foam is designed to sit on top of the coffee chain’s beverages to deliver a “smooth, velvety finish”.
Following “standout success” in the US, the Protein Cold Foam will provide 15g of added protein to any drink, “without compromising on taste or texture”, Starbucks said.
It will be available in vanilla and caramel flavours, and can be added to drinks including classic coffees, matcha lattes and the brand’s popular Iced Oat Shaken Espresso.
Alongside this, Starbucks is launching three new protein beverages, each finished with a layer of Protein Cold Foam.
The lineup, which is available from 9 April, includes an Iced Caramel Protein Americano, an Iced Caramel Protein Latte, and an Iced Vanilla Protein Matcha Latte.
“At Starbucks, we are proud leaders in beverage innovation,” said Starbucks EMEA group manager of beverage development Sam Henderson. “From pioneering Cold Brew to reimagining iced coffee with our Oat Shaken Espressos, and introducing Cold Foam, we’re constantly evolving how customers experience coffee.
“Bringing a great-tasting protein option to our UK menus was a natural next step for the brand, as we continue to develop modern, relevant products that tap into growing consumer demand and reinforce Starbucks’ position as a pioneer in coffee innovation and quality.”
