Tesco has suspended its supply from an unnamed grower following a recall notice due to salmonella.
The retailer issued a customer notice as a precaution on 16 February, for batches of its Tesco Grape & Berry Medley (230g), with use-by dates of 16 and 17 February.
Tesco confirmed to The Grocer that it had temporarily paused sourcing from one of its growers, pending a full investigation, after the bacteria was detected in an isolated batch of produce.
The retailer advised it works closely with its suppliers to ensure quality, safety, and hygiene standards throughout its supply chain, which includes regular surveillance.
“If you have purchased the affected product, please do not eat it and instead return it to any Tesco store for a full refund,” it said in the customer notice. “No receipt is required.”
