Tiba Tempeh has launched natural, high-protein and high-fibre Protein Bites.
The bites come in two flavours: Roasted and Southern Style.
They are also launching in two formats grab-and-go packs (rsp: £1.50/60g) and food-to-go packs (rsp: £1.30/45g), with the grab-and-go size launching into Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Ocado from 6 May.
“Our mission is to help people eat better,” said co-founder Ross Longton. “Too many on-the-go snacks are ultra-processed and lack real nutrition. Protein Bites deliver a naturally nutritious snack packed with protein, fibre and 100% natural ingredients that actually tastes great.”
The brand said the bites were designed for “broad appeal across health-conscious consumers” encapsulating busy professionals, fitness enthusiasts, families and GLP-1 users.
It added that it hoped the launch would recruit mainstream health-conscious shoppers to the fixture and deliver real category growth for retailers.
“Tempeh is one of the most nutritious foods available, and we have used our expertise to create a snack that delivers on taste, nutrition and convenience,” added Longton. “At 20g of protein per 100g, comparable to chicken, but with the added benefits of being high in fibre and gut-friendly, our Protein Bites are in a category of their own.
“We believe nothing else in chilled snacks does what these do.”
The launch will be supported by significant marketing investment from May 2026 spanning sampling, social media, influencer partnerships and in-store activation.
