Tilda is expanding its lineup of children’s food with a quartet of rice-based meals.
The Grocer revealed in May that Tilda was readying a range of microwave meals for kids, after the category-leading rice brand applied to register a quartet of pouch renders with the Intellectual Property Office.
Now, Tilda has unveiled Taste Travellers (rsp: £2/220g), which will debut with a quartet of “internationally inspired” recipes: Mexican Rice Bowl, Japanese Katsu Curry Rice, Pesto & Pea Risotto, and Mild Thai Green Curry Rice.
Suitable for tots aged three and up, the range was developed in collaboration with children’s dietician Lucy Upton.
Each pouch provides two of a child’s 5 a day, is a source of protein and fibre, and is low in salt.
The range will hit Tesco, Ocado and Amazon on 13 October.
“With Tilda Taste Travellers, we want to set a new standard for children’s mealtimes – combining taste, convenience and health to support busy families,” said Tilda head of marketing Anna Beheshti.
“By developing the range with children’s dietician Lucy Upton, we’re able to bring world flavours to children’s plates in a simple, convenient format that gives parents confidence in what they’re serving.”
Tilda last month announced the expansion of a water-saving irrigation technique to more than 3,240 Indian farms.
