Drinks brand Trip has raised $40m (£30.5m) in its latest fundraising to support its rapid growth in the US market.

The round valued the business at $300m (£228.5m), according to Trip.

It said the investment made the company the most valuable UK-founded drinks brand since Innocent and Fever-Tree, and the highest-valued drinks business led by a female CEO and founder.

Olivia Ferdi launched the CBD drinks brand with her husband Dan Khoury in 2019. It has gone on to register soaring growth – Trip topped the Alantra ‘Fast 50’ list of the fastest-growing UK food and drink businesses in 2024 – building a distribution footprint of 50,000 stores, including being stocked by all the major UK retailers, as well as the likes of Walmart, Target and Sprouts Farmers Market in the US and across Holland and France in Europe.

Trip expected revenues to profitably top $100m (£76.2m) in the current financial year and forecast sales to more than double in 2026.

This funding round included support from high-profile investors such as US singer Joe Jonas, Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio, TV star Paul Wesley, model and TV presenter Ashley Graham, Made in Chelsea star Sophie Habboo and New York investment firm Coefficient Capital.

Trip had previously raised more than £25m over a series of funding rounds, including a £5.6m equity investment agreed with The Equity Studio in December 2024.

“We created Trip to make calm accessible to everyone, everywhere,” said Ferdi.

“The response from our consumers and retailers is proof the world is ready for a new way to drink – one that prioritises balance and mental wellbeing.

“I’m proud that Trip is not just breaking records, but breaking barriers for female-founded and mission-driven businesses worldwide, and this funding will help us move faster than ever before.”
