Glasgow-based cash & carry business United Wholesale has expanded its trading and distribution teams following a 109% sales increase to £90m during the last two years.
Anshu Chandra - formerly buying director at Compass Cash & Carry - joins United Wholesale’s trading team as licensed trading controller. She will work closely with newly promoted Ali Afsar who is now trading controller for all food, non-food and tobacco. He was previously United’s buying controller for two years.
William McHardy, previously manager of United’s Maxwell Road cash & carry, has been promoted to the newly created role of business development and distribution manager at United’s West Street cash & carry.
He will be responsible for Day-Today fascias, the Privileged Customer Club as well as customer deliveries.
