Unwins’ joint managing directors Philip Wetz and Simon Wetz have left the business “to explore other opportunities”.
Non-executive chairman Michael Lunn said: “We would like to express our thanks to both of them for their contribution to both the board and the group.”
The departures coincided with the confirmation of a new board of directors for Unwins Wine Group.
It comprises Dominic Brown, who is finance director, Richard Rotter, IT director, marketing director Ian McLernon and David Armstrong, purchasing director.
David Gilroy has been appointed interim retail operations director and Tim Gerard becomes a non- executive director. In addition, there is a vacancy on the board for a chief executive officer.
The previous chief executive David Wetz left in January 2003. There are also vacancies on the board for a human resources director and a non-executive director.
