Waitrose has confirmed a new travel retail partnership at Bristol Airport.
The upmarket retailer said the extended wholesale tie-up with Lagardère Travel Retail will see its range available in three Relay stores at the airport from next summer.
Waitrose previously partnered with Lagardère at Heathrow where it has two existing sites and a further two sites set to open in Terminal 2 next year.
Waitrose said it was currently investing heavily in the south west with a new 3,000 sq ft convenience store scheduled to open on North Street in Bedminster, south Bristol early next year.
It previously confirmed plans for a new full-line supermarket in Brabazon and a distribution centre in Avonmouth.
“Our investment in the south west reflects our ambition to be the first choice for food lovers across the country,” said Waitrose chief commercial officer Charlotte Di Cello.
“By partnering with Lagardère alongside investing in our own stores and online offering, we can bring our exceptional service and responsibly sourced food directly to where our customers live, work, and travel far faster than ever before.”
