Walkers has applied to register a logo with the IPO under classes 29 and 30, covering chips for cooking in an air fryer

Walkers appears to be honing plans to launch a customisable air fryer potato snack.

The crisps giant has applied to register a logo featuring the text ‘Walkers Creations’ with the Intellectual Property Office, under classes 29 and 30, covering potato-based snack foods and chips for cooking in an air fryer.

It features Walkers’ new-look “sun-inspired” logo, which was officially unveiled in January, and comes more than one year after similar trademark activity by Walkers pointed to the development of a range designed specifically for air fryers.

Last January, The Grocer reported that Walkers has applied to register ‘Walkers by you’ and ‘Walkers your way’ as trademarks with the IPO, also covering potato-based snacks and chips for cooking in air fryers. However, Walkers did not respond to requests for comment.

Similarly, Britain’s top-selling crisps brand had not responded to The Grocer’s requests about Walkers Creations by the time of writing.

A swathe of fmcg brands have innovated to cash in on Brits’ growing use of air fryers over recent months.

McCain unveiled Vibes, a potato-based snacking product designed specifically for air fryers, at the start of 2025. Nestlé-owned seasonings brand Maggi then unveiled a trio of Crispy Coatings designed to “elevate” shoppers’ air fryer experience in March.

In September, independent cooked chicken manufacturer Forresters launched its Crisp Up brand, which debuted with a trio of air-fryer chicken products.
