William Grant & Sons confirmed CFO

William Grant & Sons has confirmed the departure of CEO Søren Hagh.

The spirits group said Hagh resigned from his role after two years leading the business.

“The board wishes him well in his future endeavours,” said a statement from William Grant & Sons.

CFO Graeme Jenkins and CCO Doug Bagley will take joint responsibility for managing the company going forward, with the support of the executive board.

The statement from the group follows a story by The Grocer earlier this week, based on Companies House filings, reporting Hagh was no longer at the company.

Hagh was appointed to the Glenfiddich owner in November 2023, before taking up the helm at the start of 2024.

His career at Heineken spanned more than a decade, including more than three years as president for Europe. He also spent four years as managing director of its operations in Italy.

He took over from William Grant & Sons’ former CEO Glenn Gordon in January 2024. Gordon retained his position as a non-executive director on the board.
