Woodforde’s Brewery has appointed Paul Sullivan as its new CEO.
Sullivan brought “extensive experience in the drinks industry”, the Norfolk-based brewer said.
Most recently he was managing director at 6 O’clock Gin, having previously worked for ale brewers including Wadworth and Hop Back Brewery. He succeeds Joe Parks as Woodforde CEO.
Parks was standing down “following a successful tenure” that saw Woodforde’s “strengthen its position as a leading independent brewer” and launch a new craft-focused line called New World Brewing, the supplier said.
“I am delighted to be joining such a respected and historic brewery,” said Sullivan. “Woodforde’s has an outstanding reputation for brewing excellence and a loyal following among beer lovers across the UK.
“I look forward to working with the team to build on that legacy, drive future growth, and continue to deliver great beers that reflect both tradition and innovation.”
Based northeast of Norwich on the verge of Bure Marshes nature reserve, Woodforde’s Brewery produces ales including Wherry, Nelson’s Revenge, and Bure Gold.
It is stocked in retailers including Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose.
