The 1,800 sq ft site in Camden, London is owned by LA Food Group

Nisa has opened its 1,000th symbol store.

The 1,800 sq ft site in Camden, London is owned by LA Food Group, taking its estate to 14.

It offers a range of fruit and veg, and stocks lines from Sysco-owned supplier Country’s Choice. It also features a Costa Coffee machine as part of its food-to-go offer.

There is also a refill hub for products including cereal and nuts.

It employs 12 members of staff and is open from 8am until 11pm Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 10:30pm on Sundays.

“We’re thrilled to be adding a 14th store to our remit and to learn the store is such a huge landmark for Nisa just adds to the excitement,” said co-owner Tabrez Hussain.

“The store opening went very well and the fresh space received a good reaction from shoppers.”

Nisa store development manager Derek Saunders said: “The store has a modern finish with a real future-forward vibe, whilst retaining the unique charm of the building.

“Multiple tree bark effect pillars and deep Artex canopies, along with brick effect walls, create a welcoming store that offers a shopper experience that is completely different to any other store in the area.”

Nisa head of format and development Darren May added: “We couldn’t be more excited to reach this milestone, which is testament to our market-leading proposition and the straightforward process of joining Nisa,” said Darren May, head of format and development at Nisa Retail.

“We are proud to support LA Foods in offering the Haverstock community a new and unique customer experience and look forward to seeing the store’s success in the coming months.

“Hitting the 1,000th symbol store mark really highlights the success of our recent recruitment and the investment we have made into our retail team to support partners, which is helping us achieve continuous growth and support independent retailers to become the best in the market.”
