Europe's second largest meat operation has been taken over.
The acquisition of Dutch bacon giant Dumeco by the Bestmeat Company was approved by the European Competition Authority.
The Bestmeat Company is a subsidary of Best Agrifund and the deal will be financed partly by cash and partly with Best Agrifund shares.
The move means Bestmeat will now generate a turnover of E3.5bn and employ more than 10,150 staff.
The director of Dumeco, Frans Stortelder, will remain in place and report directly to the Bestmeat management board.
