Londis has this week introduced seven fresh produce lines to its own-label value range.
Tomatoes, carrots, onions, mushrooms, potatoes, apples and easy peeler citrus join the 32-strong SmartBuy selection that launched last year featuring everyday essentials including kitchen towels, foil, milk, cheese, cookies, chocolate and teabags.
“SmartBuy has been incredibly well-received by our retailers and shoppers,” John Pattison, Londis brand director said. “So much so we exceeded our 1,000-store year-end target in 2014 with 1,153 actively participating stores. It will be a £3m brand by the end of 2015 and our intent is to expand to 100 lines by the end of the year.”
