Morrisons has appointed Katie Mollet as wine sourcing manager.
In her new role Mollet, who joins from Waitrose where she was a wine buyer, will be responsible for sourcing wines from Italy, Germany, Bordeaux, Loire, Alsace and Eastern Europe, as well as fortified wines.
“With an increasing online presence and rapidly growing sales in the convenience sector, I know that the wine team has lots of plans to develop and evolve the range,” she said.
Morrisons head of wine operations Mark Jarman added: “Katie has tremendous passion for the product and a wide breadth of experience gained in her previous buying and sourcing roles.”
