A company reshuffle at Danone UK has resulted in the appointment of two new senior executives.

Marnix Eikenboom has joined Danone Dairy UK as managing director, succeeding Marc Gosselin who, after six years during which the company's retail sales grew 15-fold to £237m [ACNielsen MAT 7/10/06], has been promoted to the role of executive vice president of dairy for Africa and the Middle East.

Eikenboom joins the food and drink giant's UK operations from Danone in the Netherlands, where he had held a similar management position for the past four years.

Meanwhile, following a four-year tenure at the helm of Danone Water UK & Ireland, managing director Guy Pelabon has been promoted within the Danone Groupe to the position of vice president, marketing for Danone Beverages Worldwide.

He is succeeded by Nick Krzyzaniak, who joins the company from Dannon US, where he was executive vice president of commercial development.
