What was your first-ever job? Swimwear model to make some money at uni, but I hated it and ran off the end of the catwalk when my top fell off. I didn't get paid! My first serious job was at John Lewis Oxford Street. It feels like my second home when I pop in for a visit.

What was the first music single you bought? Jessie's Girl by Rick Springfield. He was hot in those days. I wanted to change my name to Jessie.

How do you describe your job to your mates? Relentless smoothie making! Frumoo's the new kid on the block so we've got to work hard and creatively to compete with the big boys out there. Then the conversation quickly turns to talking about everyone's kids as we're all mums and try and help each other out where we can.

What is the most rewarding part of your job? Direct feedback from parents saying 'thank you, my daughter/son hates milk, but loves drinking Frumoo'. My God does that make it all worth it.

What is the least rewarding part? Not being able to get to the gym.

What is your motto in life? Practice makes perfect. Did I read somewhere that if you devote 10,000 hours to anything, you'll become genius at it? It's my kids' least-favourite motto.

What's your nickname? Mazza! I played loads of sports at school and must have been a bit mad for it like Gazza. (I prefer Maaza, which is more serene, and means 'enjoy' or 'diamond' in Indian). My kids call me MM. Moaning Mummy, or Marvellous Mummy, depending on mood. I tell them it's Music and Maths they're essential in life.

What's your favourite movie and why? Moulin Rouge. Or Gladiator. They transport you away.

What has been the most embarrassing moment in your life? When I had to deliver my dissertation to an auditorium full of medics at uni. I stood at the podium, opened my mouth and nothing came out.

Which celebrity would you pick to join your staff? Jonny Wilkinson. He's so dedicated to his craft. Not bad to look at either.

If you could change one thing in grocery what would it be? That buyers would be more innovative. They want innovative products, so give us a chance to create that innovation and get it on shelf.

What animal best reflects your personality and why? The dolphin. It's sleek and streamlined and good to humans.
