Oscar Woolley, co-founder of Suki Tea, on flea markets, Belleville Rendez-vous and spiders

What was your first-ever job? I grew up buying and selling stuff on flea markets and car boots but my first official job was chopping carrots in an artist's retreat in Nottingham for £1.75 per hour.

What was your worst job interview? I got an interview for a job on a cruise ship sailing the Mediterranean when I was 21. They accepted me as a photographer. I was so excited I had to leave within three days but I didn't have a passport.

What was the first music single you bought? First Time (Robin Beck) in 1988, when I was 11.

How do you describe your job to your mates? I'm a Teamaster.

What is the most rewarding part of your job? Meeting new people over a good cuppa.

What is the least rewarding part? I don't think about it as a job so really can't answer that one. As an owner you do what is necessary.

What is your motto in life? Being is much more important than having. Or... milk in last!

What's your nickname? Only my wife knows that one. I'm not revealing it!

If you were allowed one dream perk what would it be? A slide into a swimming pool from my office.

What's your favourite movie and why? I'm a total filmaholic so could never answer that but I was introduced to Belleville Rendez-Vous by my little sister Maddie (age 11) earlier this year and thought it was brilliant. I really liked Attack the Block, the science fiction film that's the directorial debut of Joe Cornish. Very well done!

What has been the most embarrassing moment in your life? No, not even going there!

Do you have any phobias? Spiders. I'm a total wimp when it comes to the eight- legged mobile nightmare units!

If you could pick a celebrity to join your staff who would it be and why? Björk. She is the queen of creativity.

If you could change one thing in the grocery industry what would it be? Instant tea machines? No!

What luxury would you have on your desert island? I would say an ice machine, a lemon tree and a shipwreck of gin.

What animal best reflects your personality and why? A Peregrine falcon. They can reach speeds of up to 200mph. Why that's got anything to do with my personality I really don't know but I just think that's really impressive.
