The brand said it hoped to use its ‘years of experience’ to meet the demand for better-tasting plant-based sauces

Finnebrogue Artisan has expanded its Better Naked range into condiments for the first time, with a new lineup of plant-based sauces and mayonnaises.

Launched into 497 Tesco stores in the UK last week, the range is also gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free and made without any artificial additives or preservatives.

The lineup consists of a Hoisin Ketchup and Roasted Red Pepper & Chilli Ketchup, which are both low in fat and saturated fat. The NPD also includes a Burger Mayonnaise and Southern Fried Mayonnaise, which are both low in sugar. All four products retail at £2 each (250g).

“Our mantra has always been to look at what is wrong with food and then figure out how to make it the best it can be, without being bound by the way it has always been done,” said Declan Ferguson, research, development and technical director at Finnebrogue Artisan.

“We’ve looked at the range of plant-based sauces currently on the market and thought too often there are compromises being accepted on taste and too many artificial additives being used in the production process, such as potassium sorbate.”

The brand said it hoped to use its “years of experience” to meet the demand for better-tasting plant-based sauces made without egg, dairy, gluten or artificial additives or preservatives.
