Name: George Taylor
Job title: Founder & CEO
Company: Frive
What was your first job? My entrepreneurship started really early, I was selling sweets in school. My first first actual job was way less glamorous than that – I was a plumber.
What’s been your worst job interview? I started Frive young so I only had two interviews before that, and luckily got the job both times. I won’t go into how bad I was at interviewing when I first started though!
What was the first music single you bought? Many Men by 50 Cent.
How do you describe your job to your friends? Insanity. Building a company is like rolling down a mountain with no protective gear. As a CEO, every day has its own challenges – but it’s all part of the fun.
“There’s no reason for our food to be covered in chemicals and pesticides – food should be healthy fuel”
What is the most rewarding part of your job? Building a team of people with the mindset and ability to take on and disrupt the titans. Watching people grow alongside the company is incredibly rewarding.
What is the least rewarding part? Truthfully I don’t look at it from that lens, but if I had to pick something, it would be all the time and sacrifice required knowing that I won’t get these years back.
What is your motto in life? Positive energy creates positive outcomes and never, ever, give up.

If you were allowed one dream perk, what would it be? Blood testing and personalised supplementation to stay at optimal health.
Do you have any phobias? I am shit-scared of spiders! You won’t catch me in the same room as a spider, I can guarantee you that.
If you could change one thing in grocery, what would it be? All food would be organic. There’s no reason for our food to be covered in chemicals and pesticides – food should be healthy fuel.
What luxury would you have on a desert island? A chess board – assuming I would have at least one person with me, I think playing chess would keep us both sane.
What animal most reflects your personality? A lion, just like my star sign. Ferocious and determined but a softie at heart really.
What’s your favourite film and why? Interstellar! I am genuinely interested in the complexity of the universe and have experienced multiple out-of-body experiences of my own, which were surreal to say the least.

What has been the most embarrassing moment in your life? Struggling with drug addiction and not being able to overcome it when I was younger. It was a difficult period, and I lost some relationships because of it. It taught me a lot about resilience and self-discipline.
Which celebrity would you most like to work with and why? Elon Musk, because I would like to analyse how he thinks and operates. While extremely controversial, his craziness and eccentricity is intriguing to me.
What would your death row meal be? A double smash burger and fries (the highest-quality and grass-fed beef though). Nothing beats a classic.
