Quorn is growing its vegetarian frozen ready meals portfolio with three dishes that will be sold alongside their meat equivalents in Sainsbury’s and Tesco - a first for a meat-free brand, it claims.
The trio, rolling out now, comprises chicken & pesto risotto and mince & sweet potato casserole - both of which will roll into Sainsbury’s (rsp: £2) - with chicken & bacon lattice listed by Tesco (rsp: £2.50).
Rather than being separated into the meat-free section, two of the ready meals [the casserole and lattice] will be placed alongside meat-based ready meals in the freezer aisle, where they will be joined by the brand’s existing Toad in the Hole and lasagne.
