Co-op is going retro for Easter 2026, with a smaller range built around nostalgic flavours and comfort-led formats for its convenience-first shoppers.

The retailer has added six new lines this year, across chocolate eggs, cakes and bakery, with cherry bakewell, peach melba and Neapolitan-style chocolate emerging as the key flavours from the range.

“Nostalgia is currently a powerful trend, with more people turning to food for comfort and joy. As consumers look for flavours that evoke cherished childhood memories, you’ll see this theme woven throughout many of our products,” said senior product development manager Emily Haworth. 

“We couldn’t resist bringing a nostalgic favourite into a new format, our Irresistible Cherry Bakewell Hot Cross Buns. Inspired by last year’s hugely successful Irresistible Cherry Bakewell Cake, which to the delight of our members and customers is back for a limited time only.”

This year’s showstopper is a Neapolitan-inspired Easter egg, alongside new trendy pistachio crème-filled eggs that tap into the flavour’s continued popularity on social media. Also new is a supersized brioche hot cross bun – perfect for slicing and toasting
