Worthington's Ale has become the latest beer brand to be certified by the Red Tractor assurance scheme.
From August, all Worthington's ales will be made using 100% British barley sourced from Red Tractor-certified suppliers, "a really important step" for the brand, said owner Molson Coors.
"Certification to Red Tractor demonstrates not only that we meet nationally recognised levels of best practice, but that these are met throughout the production process," said Jerry Dyson, sourcing manager at Worthington's.
Meurig Raymond, vice chairman of the scheme, said the move showed the importance placed on food safety, environmental protection and animal welfare.
Worthington's joins other brewers including Wells and Young's and Greene King that have also been awarded the certification.
