Sales surged at LWC Drinks over the past year, as the booze wholesaler defied ongoing challenging market conditions, latest figures reveal.

Revenues at the business grew by 16.2% (£34.5m) to £247.2m for the year ending 30 September, while operating profits grew £2.25m to £10.4m, according to accounts filed this week with Companies House.

Directors were “delighted”, said LWC, attributing the jump to “both organic growth and acquisition”.
