Sainsbury’s has been experiencing supply problems with its chilled own-label soups.

The retailer has displayed notices in stores due to a “temporary problem” with its soup supplier and is working to rectify the issue.

“We’ve been working closely with our supplier to make our chilled soup range even better for customers and these changes led to an interruption in supply for a couple of days,” a spokesman confirmed. “We would like to apologise to customers for the inconvenience this caused.” Sainsbury’s chilled own-label soups are supplied by Hain Daniels, which is better known for its New Covent Garden range.
