Unilever is adding a new variant to its Comfort intensely scented fabric conditioner line-up next month and says the range is close to hitting its target of £5m first-year sales.

Comfort Wild Bluebell & Bergamot Thrill (rsp: £1.89 per 750ml bottle) joins three existing lines in the Comfort Exhilarations range, launched last September to appeal to "sensory junkies" who will pay more for "unique fragrances".

The newcomer hits shelves next month and will be backed by a £1.8m TV and print campaign.
