FOODMARKET MANAGER, HARVEY NICHOLS
Cloke joined Harvey Nichols as a cheese, bakery and dairy buyer manager in 1992, when its Foodmarket was created. In 2002 she became manager of the Foodmarket, which sells speciality food and drink from around the world. Before joining Harvey Nichols, she was a key account manager at Leathams, then known as Leathams Larder.
SPECIAL SELECTION BUYER, SAINSBURY
Rimmer started work with Sainsbury in 1993 as a department manager, instore, in Birmingham. He moved to the pricing and promotions team, working with the trading teams on promotional plans. Currently he works in grocery trading and since January 2004 has been buying special selection, ethnic foods and health foods.

Dawson became a graduate trainee at Marks and Spencer in 1984. He moved to Waitrose in 1990 as a branch department manager, transferring to grocery buying in 1996. His buying roles have included beverages, organic foods and medical, dental and well-being.

Smith joined Booths in 1971, specialising in confectionery. His role has extended to include other categories, with a particular emphasis on beer and cider. David emphasises the importance of keeping in touch with customer needs and the necessity for strong relationships with suppliers.

Miller worked as a provisions buyer when he joined Fortnum & Mason in 1995 and then briefly in merchandising. He is now responsible for grocery buying. His role includes locating suppliers who can recreate traditional production methods for products. He aims to stock unique products that fulfil customer demands.

Weston has worked for House of Fraser since December 2002, joining from Fortnum & Mason where was employed for 11 years. He joined Fortnum’s as a management trainee and then moved to hampers. His last role there was tea, coffee and grocery buyer.
