H&B’s first stores in Greece, Bulgaria and Romania are set to open this year

Holland & Barrett is set to open 120 new stores across Greece, Romania and Bulgaria.

The health & wellness retailer has struck a deal with one of the leading retail and consumer goods businesses in the region, Fourlis Group.

The company operates stores for brands such as Ikea and Intersport in Greece, the Balkans, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey.

The first Holland & Barrett stores in the region are set to open this year, with local websites launching simultaneously.

“We’re excited to be making wellness a way of life for even more people by bringing Holland & Barrett’s range of products and world-leading expert advice to new customers in Greece, Romania and Bulgaria through our strategic partnership with Fourlis Group,” said chief commercial officer Alex Dower.

“We are already the go-to health and wellness destination for customers in all our overseas markets, so we’re confident our multi-channel offer in Greece, Bulgaria and Romania will prove to be just as popular.”

Fourlis Group chairman Vasileios Fourlis added their “common vision will bring to the consumer innovative products and personalised advice through an extended omnichannel network of physical stores and online sales”.

H&B products are currently available in stores and online in 18 countries around the world. In June last year, the company entered the Chinese market by launching on major e-commerce platform Tmall.
